Food: Pizza with Bread

So, our first foodie project! We had a surplus of bread in the house (a lot of loaves here), so for lunch we decided to make pizza! :) This is certainly not our original idea, but it was fun to do as a family.

You'll need the bread (sliced into loaves for your convenience), tomato sauce, ground meat, seasoning for your meat (we just added some Magic Sarap), cooking oil, and cheese (to be grated). The ground meat has to be cooked, so have a frying pan and tongs ready. You'll be using an oven toaster to give it that pizza-look and taste, so we hope that's an appliance in your house.

Ground meat being cooked

First you'll cook the ground meat. Put some oil on the pan, the amount depends on how much meat you want to cook, and wait for it to heat up a bit. Put the raw meat on the hot oil, and add some seasoning depending on your taste. Wait for the meat to cook while moving the raw pieces around so that every piece is cooked evenly. (Raw meat = Eww!)

Meaty goodness!

While Claire took care of the meat, Jade and the other siblings took care of toasting the pizza bread! :) Grab your tomato sauce sachet or can. We chose Filipino style out of all the ones we had in the cabinet because we love the sweet taste.

After spreading the tomato sauce, add your grated cheese! :)

Then pop those bread slices into the toaster. We determined that the magical number was 7. Seven minutes in the toaster.
Meanwhile, here's an update of how the meat's cookin'!
Once you've grated the cheese and cooked the meat, grab your tomato sauce and start laying on the ingredients for the pizza! :D

Here's a picture of the final product:

 YUMMY GOODNESS!

We noticed that putting the sauce and cheese then popping it into the blender made the bread a bit soggy. So for the next slices, we put only the cheese first, then added the tomato sauce and ground meat  AFTER the bread had been toasted.
Our little brother even made some iced tea (after being commanded to do so. hehe).
He labelled the jugs, too!
