Swatch Streamers

Confused about the title?
We had a board game from Swatch when our Tita bought a Swatch watch back in 2001. It was a sort of trivia game that had questions and answers (in different languages) printed on different colored boards: green, blue, and yellow boards, depending on where you landed or what you rolled in the game.

Since it was gathering dust anyway, we decided to use the colored boards to make streamers that could be used for decoration. :)

We gathered materials we would need: the colored boards, a puncher, and some ribbons. Oh, and you'll need a pair of scissors and lots of patience.

First, get one of the colored boards, and then punch a hole on both sides at the top, like so. You'll be needing to cut a ribbon about the same length as the board later on.
Here's a close-up of the punched hole on Card Number One.

We decided to save the punched circles for a future project. :)
Afterward you've punched holes in all the colored board strips, then use ribbons to tie them together!
We did a double knot first before tying the ribbon. That way, it stays in place.

You'll have to cut quite a number of ribbons to tie all those boards together. We used 24 boards of each color, so we had a total of 72 boards to punch through! Do the math if you want to calculate how many ribbons we had to cut! :)
Here's the final product, all neatly stacked for easy storage. Take note, this is just 1/3 of the original length of the streamer. We decided to have 3 streamers so that it would be easier to use.
