Toothpaste Milk Carton

We have a collection of cardboard boxes of all sorts at home, so we decided to make a milk carton pencil holder out of a toothpaste box!

You'll need a toothpaste box (we use Hapee toothpaste at home) or basically any long rectangular box that has the size you want for your pencil holder. Then you'll need some glue, or double sided tape so that it's easier, white paper, a black marker, a pair of scissors, and a ruler.

The toothpaste box measures eight inches, so we cut the box into two, one measuring six inches, and the other measuring two inches.

Then we measured the box into two portions measuring 4 and 2 inches. We cut the two inch portion into four flaps and folded two flaps to make it look like the top of a milk carton.

We then cut off half an inch from the folded flaps, and folded another half inch from the two other flaps.

Then we cut a tab on one side and two slits on the other side so that the milk carton could be sealed.

You can also use this design for sealing it too.

Then we cover the whole thing with white paper, using the ruler to measure the different proportions and the glue or tape to stick it on.

Draw in your designs with black marker and tada! You have an adorable toothpaste milk carton.
